Attitudes & Attire Hosts 15^th Annual Luncheon & Fashion Show

DALLAS – January 24, 2012 - On Friday, March 2, 2012, Attitudes & Attireâ„¢, a nonprofit agency dedicated to promoting personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency, will host its 15^th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show from 11:30AM to 1:30PM in the Grand Pavilion of the Dallas Trade Mart. Shirin Askari, Amy Vanderoef, LeeAnne Locken and other notable fashion tastemakers and philanthropists, along with several former clients of Attitudes & Attireâ„¢, will be strutting their stuff down the runway during a European-inspired fashion show by elements, Dallas’ staple boutique that has been setting the standard for specialty shopping in the metroplex since 1999. elements, this year’s presenting sponsor, was recently named D Magazine’s "Best of Big D" women’s clothing boutique. Raffle prizes are the icing on the cake for this exciting event, including fine jewelry, luxury shopping and hotel packages, Mavericks tickets, and even a football signed by Roger Staubach. "We’re so excited about hosting what is shaping up to be our biggest and best event yet," said Lyn Berman, founder and executive director of Attitudes & Attire™. This year’s recipient of the Kim Dawson Award, which was created by Berman to honor a woman whose standout personality and accomplishments exemplify the full potential of all women, is Sarah Losinger. Losinger is one of Dallas’ most dedicated and active philanthropic leaders. Christi Clinger of 7-Eleven, Inc. is chairing the event, which raises money to support the services Attitudes & Attire™ provides for more than 1,600 women a year.

Janet Fresquez, honorary chair of the 2012 fundraiser, notes, "I’m so proud to be a part of the Attitudes & Attire™ mission and to help support women who are seeking to create a better life for themselves and their families." Two Attitudes & Attire™ clients will speak at the event, sharing their stories about the impact the agency has had in their lives.

All proceeds from the 15^th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show will benefit Attitudes & Attire™, which offers interpersonal skills training for women across the Dallas metroplex. The agency’s workshops help women learn how to recognize their self-worth, create a positive image, overcome barriers, and improve job search skills. Attitudes & Attire™ also provides work-appropriate outfits from its boutique, which is heavily stocked with donations from local retailers, manufacturers, individuals, and corporate clothing drives.
