Volunteer in Our Boutique
Have you ever wanted to be a personal shopper or fashion consultant? Do you love clothes? Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? Client dressings follow every Attitudes and Attire™ workshop, and volunteers play an essential role in making these sessions a success. On their initial visit to Attitudes & Attire, clients receive one suit with a coordinating blouse, a scarf, a handbag, jewelry, and pantyhose. On their second visit they may select shoes, and during their third dressing clients choose a variety of workplace and business casual clothing to complement their wardrobe.
During these sessions, our volunteer image consultants work one-on-one with clients in selecting professional clothing for the workplace, assisting with fit, color choice, and most importantly—helping our clients feel confident and beautiful in their new outfits.
You can also volunteer at our boutique by helping us sort and size clothing and accessories. Our volunteers help ensure that our boutique is neatly organized and our inventory is always seasonally appropriate for our clients.
Volunteering in our boutique is fun, flexible, and very rewarding.
Speak at a Workshop
Bring your experience and perspective to an Attitudes & Attire workshop. We invite you to share your professional expertise and personal success story with clients by discussing relevant issues and skills in a workshop.
Volunteers from the community present a variety of material during our workshops on topics ranging from their professional expertise to their own stories of overcoming challenges. The benefits for our clients are immeasurable—not only are clients meeting role models from the professional world, but they are learning work ethics and workplace skills directly from individuals who are responsible for hiring and managing employees on a daily basis.
If you believe you can be of assistance at one of our workshops, please contact Program Manager Julie at 214.746.4214 to learn more.
